Garnier Nutritionist's Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Rollerball

I have dark circles under my eyes which tend to get even darker and circlier , with my late night, early class schedule as a student. So I thought that I would give the Garnier Nutritionist's Skin Renew a go, and see if I could help improve, or at least camoflage the problem.

They say that this will:

1. Even out skin tone and hide dark circles while the caffine will depuff any baggage under the eyes.
2. After 1 week of use, it will brighten your eye area.

Left side with Skin Renew, Right side without

This is all a bunch of hooey in my opinion.
It gave me light coverage under the eyes and did brighten a little. I didn't notice a reduction in my under eye bags and it certainly did not brighten my eye area after 1 week. (I am assuming that they meant without the product on?)

However, I don't hate this product!!!!
I can't exactly put my finger on it but I think it is the applicator...The roller ball thing is so cool and feels really nice...I can't help it but kinda like it!
The product is quite light and watery and cooling.

SO, should you burn rubber to the store and pick this bad boy up? Probably not. This is not a must have product, and if you have really bad dark circles I would opt for something that is acutally going to cover the darkness. As for the bags, go get some rest, I got your back ;)

If you don't have these issues, and don't mind light coverage, I think this would make an easy travel concealer or just something refreshing for a hot day.
I would wait until it goes on sale, that's just me though.

What is your favourite product for circles and bags?

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that you remembered to wear green to avoid getting pinched! I wore some green makeup to celebrate the occasion.

Instead of doing the typical green smokey look, chose to go for an intense green eyeliner with a flick. Using GOSH's Extreme liner. (I actually used a blue one and added green pigment to it). These are fabulous by the way! I really should pick up some more.

AND! I was in such a festive mood I wrote a little limerck!

There was a girl at Sephora
Who wanted to have some mora
Highlighter and blush
gave her such a rush
Her face had quite an aura!

Cheers! Please enjoy some Lucky Charms and a green beverage of your choice! :)

Relovin' MAC - Why I left, what brought me back, will I still use?

So, recently I have been really into a couple of my old, long lost, MAC products. These once loved products had gotten buried under new up and coming products and impulse buys.. :( poor products.

At the top MAC Bronzer in Refined Golden, MAC Paints in Bare Canvas (middle), and  Magrittes (bottom)

MAC's bronzing powder in Refined Golden, has been with me for a while, I believe that this one is my second or third repurchase.

Why I left? I was using this as a contour and began to become concerned with looking too sparkly, as I do like my eyes to twinkle, I felt like it was becoming too much in combination with everything. Also, Benefit's Hoola came a callin'.

What brought me back? On my b-day the MA used this to tan up my face, I was not expecting her to choose this colour, but I noticed that it gave my skin a really beautiful glow, and it added to the dewy skin look I was going for.

Will I continue to use? I think I will, not as a contour though (which I am guilty of using it for in the past...whoops) but as a light over all bronzy glow.

Left to right: MAC Bronzer in Refined Golden, MAC Paint in Magrittes and MAC Paint in Bare Canvas (I did a horrible job of blending this in, in otherwords, it was me not the product)

MAC paint in Bare Canvas, and Magrittes

I have had these for a loooong time. These were my first solution to lid primers, as there was no Sephora in Canada (yet), to get Urban Decay's Primer Potion from. I do believe that these predate the paint pots as well. Yikes!

Why I left? Sephora opened in Canada and I got Urban Decay Primer

What brought me back? I wanted something that was going to give my lid a little bit of coverage ( luckily I am so pale that this can be achieved with this product, haha) and I noticed that they had thickened a little bit so the product wouldn't stop squirting out of the tube and gunking up the lid.

Will I continue to use? I think that once these are used up, I won't be they even make these anymore!?? There are just too many other products out there that I want to try, but..I guess you can never say never.

Have you been reloving anything lately?

I've decided to go Topless & Barefoot

Good morning, good morning!!

Last night I dared to go nude with Essie's new French Affair nailpolish in Topless & Barefoot. This IS the perfect nude!

It has a creamy formulation and the colour is a pinky nude, it does not have any brown undertones at all. I will say that, as usual, I have a hard time applying Essie nailpolishes, they can be quite tricky and go on streaky but I once I get the hang of it, they look amazing!

This colour will look great on darker skin tones, it is pretty much the same as my skin tone! lol but....I feel tres chic anyway.

Have you had a French Affair with Essie yet?

Happy Tuesday

Hello all!
How has your day been? I am exhausted and it is only Tuesday! I had a tough weekend of Calculus midterm cramming and didn't get a lot of r&r. Here are a few things that help me destress but mostly make me happy!

One of my favourite green teas. A mix of green tea, spearamint and lemongrass. Very Zen.
by Tazo

I like to drink it out of my favourite mug from Disneyworld.

This wallflower scent from Bath&BodyWorks in Ecalyptus, Spearamint, which I love! It doesn't smell toothpasty just calm and as if you were at one of those outdoor spas being smothered in a soothing wrap while listening to the sounds of the rainforest around you.......I think eucalyptus grows in the desert, but know what I mean. :)

And most important of all, some great words to live by,
This is one of those blank journals that I couldn't resist buying! I love the message....although I don't know what I am going to do with it...I never really write in these things and I don't want to mess it up, what do I do with it!? I think I need a cupcake.

What calms you?

Zebra Nails!!

Last night I had some free time to myself so I decided to break out my Konad Nail Stamping kit and get creative. Here is what I came up with.
Nail polish used: L'Oreal in High Tide, Konad in Black

I don't use it very often because I have tiny nails and one butterfly takes up my entire thumb, in other words it looks .....odd, haha, but the big pattern prints are alright. It was really difficult to get a perfect application, you tubers make it seem so easy! I kept on stamping it wrong, or smudging it and most of the print went on to my finger because once again, Thumbelina size nails ...oh well practice makes perfect!

I think this would look awesome with any colour underneath OR I could do black nails with white stripes possibly...

So, how is your Wednesday?

Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer Brush

Happy March all!

A few weeks ago I picked up the Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer Brush for about 15$(roughly) on a whim and it is AMAZING! I have been using it to apply my foundation and I have to say wow.
Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer Brush courtesy

With my dry skin, I find that the duo stippling brushes tend to cause my skin to get really flaky, (they like micro exfoliate) even with tons of moisturizer on and the classic foundation brush always seems to leave streaks. THIS brush however, when applied with a dabbling motion and a light blending, gives me a flawless face! I even tried this bad boy with powder foundation, something I NEVER wear, and it turned out great. It made applying foundation so easy.( I will say that be sure to use it for moisturizer first because the bristles will soak up your product if you don't.)

The price is fantastic, the bristles are super soft and dense. If I had to say one thing bad about it, it would be that the brush handle is a little big (I have teeny hands anyways tho) so it makes it a little difficult to manuver. This would not stop me from, say buying another one or something, I still think it is a great brush, but I wouldn't use it for applying bronzer.

The brush is takalon bristles, 100% cruelty free (yay!) and sustainable!
Anyhoo, a big thumbs up for this brush, and I will definately have to check out some more brushes from this brand.

Have you tried Ecotools?
